Julie Hooks is an award-winning author and a proud Louisiana Native. She attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she majored in Child and Family Studies. Her debut picture book, Hannah Bear and LuLu's Festival to Remember, was placed in several family magazines and received a Family Choice Award. She lives in Louisiana with her husband and has two daughters who continue to inspire her storytelling. Her newest book of the Series, Hannah Bear and LuLu's Southern Sneaux Party is finally hitting the shelves. A passionate advocate for children's literacy, she loves connecting with young readers and families through school visits, storytimes, and events.
