About Me

Julie Hooks is the award-winning author of the Hannah Bear and LuLu children's book series, inspired by the magic of childhood and the special bond between her two daughters. Her debut book, Hannah Bear and LuLu's Festival to Remember, received a  presigious Family Choice Award and was  proudly endorsed by the First Lady of Louisiana, Sharon Landry. It was also selected as one of the featured books at the 2024 Louisiana Book Festival and has been showcased in several magazines for it's heartfelt storytelling. 

Julie is currently working on the second book in the series, continuing the delightful adventures of Hannah Bear and LuLu. Married to her husband of 30 years, she's a proud mother whose family has been the heart and inspiration behind her writing. Through her books, Julie brings to life stories filled with warmth, inspiration and meaningful life lessons for children and families to enjoy together.
