About Me

 Julie Hooks attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she majored in Child and Family Studies.  Hooks has worked as a PreK-4 teacher’s assistant in Grand Coteau, Louisiana, which has inspired her to continue writing and creating stories. 

When Hooks is not writing or reading, she enjoys traveling throughout Louisiana attending festivals, trade days, and market shows.

She resides in Louisiana with her husband, Kelly. Together, they have two daughters, Hannah(Bear) and Haleigh(LuLu), a big fluffy cat named Ollie, and a silly dog named Finn.
